Abstract Guidelines

Abstract Submission Information

1. AMRMC 2024 Sabah welcomes abstracts that are original and have never been published or presented at any other meetings/conferences before the 15th AMRMC 2024.

2. All abstracts must be submitted via the online submission portal only. Abstracts submitted via email will not be accepted.

3. The corresponding author must confirm that the submitted research was approved by the author’s affiliated institutional ethical board/National Medical Research Register. 

4. Conflicts of interest/disclosure: work submitted for presentation must include an acknowledgement of funding sources of a commercial nature and/or consulting or holding of significant equity in a company that could be affected by the results of the study, if relevant.

5. There are no limits on the number of submissions which can be submitted, however, each individual can only present a maximum of two presentations (either Oral or Poster presentation) and must be the first author or one of the co-authors of the presentation.

6. The presenting author must be a registered participant in the Conference. Only a maximum of two (2) submissions of authors who have paid their registration fees will be accepted, scheduled, and included for abstract proceeding publication.

7. Please ensure that all information is accurate because no further editing is permitted after submission.

8. The Conference Scientific Committee will determine whether abstracts will be accepted based on a blind peer review.

9. A confirmation email will be sent to you when your submission has been received.

10. The Conference Scientific Committee

    • reserves the right to edit all submissions for grammar, spelling, abstract theme and presentation type.
    • reserves the right to withdraw an abstract at any time.

Submission Categories/ Themes

 

  • Core topics under the purview of rehabilitation medicine including rehabilitation for neurological conditions, spinal cord injury & related disorders, musculoskeletal diseases & amputations, paediatrics conditions with disabilities, cardiopulmonary disorders, as well as geriatrics conditions and fragility.
  • Disability studies including policy making, interdisciplinary care network and disability management including hospital-based and community resources.
  • Advanced rehabilitation approaches not exhaustive to robotics therapy, invasive musculoskeletal treatment, neuromodulations, and others.
  • Innovation for Rehabilitation in the Community.

Abstract Submission Instructions

Language
  • All abstracts should be submitted in English.
Volume
  • Abstract title is to be no longer than 25 words.
  • Abstract content is to be no longer than 350 words (excluding headings, authors’ names & affiliations,  references and disclosures).
Structure
  • Abstract content should include: background/aims, methods, results, and conclusions.

  • References are optional, with a maximum of 3 – with the following (abbreviated) style:
