Bidding for 10th ISPRM World Congress
The bidding team led by Dato' Zaliha Omar, Prof Lydia, Myceb and Dr Yusniza won the rights to organize the 10th ISPRM World Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2016.
11th Asian Spinal Cord Network (ASCoN) Conference 2012
11th ASCoN & 4th Annual Rehabilitation Medicine Scientific Meeting was held from 29 Nov - 2 Dec 2012 at PJ Hilton and attended by 404 local and international delegates.
Disaster Rehabilitation Team to Nepal
MARP Disaster Rehabilitation Team with MERCY Malaysia offer relief mission to Nepal from 7-19 June 2015. The team was led by Prof Amara, Prof Nazirah & Dr Nadia. Nurses, therapist and wheelchair specialists were also involved.
10th ISPRM World Congress & 8th Annual Rehab. Medicine Scientific Meeting
MARP hosted the International Society of Physical Rehabilitation Medicine World Congress in conjunction with 8th Annual Scientific Meeting at KL Convention Center.
1300 local and international delegates attended the world congress and this is the grandest and largest event organized by MARP. The event was officiated and graced by the Royal Partron.
Mission in LAOS
MARP President has been invited for a working visit to LAOS by their Ministry of Health, to help develop and establish rehabilitation medicine in LAOS.
The meeting from 9th to 13th August 2016 at Vientinne involved meetings with the local doctors and specialits interested in Rehabilitation Medicine.
Malaysia to host AOCPRM 2025
Malaysian Association of Rehabilitation Physician (MARP) has won the bid to host Asia-Oceanian Conference of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (AOCPRM) in 2024. However, due to COVID-19, AOCPRM will be held in 2025 instead.
